Blondie's 'Lines' to be re-released
HOLLYWOOD, May 7 (UPI) --
"Parallel Lines," the seminal album by the U.S. rock group Blondie, is to be reissued next month in an expanded 30th anniversary edition, Capitol/EMI said. The CD/DVD, which is set for release June 24, will feature bonus tracks, classic promo videos and a previously unreleased BBC television performance, the label said. Blondie's "Parallel Lines" 30th anniversary concert tour is scheduled to kick off June 5 in Baltimore. It will include dozens of dates in the United States and Europe. The album has sold more than 20 million copies since its 1978 debut. It features such classic Blondie hits as "Heart of Glass," "One Way or Another," "Hanging on the Telephone" and "Sunday Girl." "We are looking forward to seeing new and old fans out there this summer. We have been doing pretty much the same show for several tours now, and this time we have more rehearsal time than usual and we're going to try to take it a bit further," Chris Stein, Blondie's co-founder and guitarist, said in a statement.
