We are a new team and we are made up of players from numerous NWI teams.

The question I have is as follows: What is the best route to go, LLC, Incorporationo, Not for Profit Organization?

We want to establish a bank account in the teams name to keep all the funds, we just need to know which route is the best to go.

Please let me know any and all info any of you team owners may have.

You don't need to become incorporated to open an acct. Goto www.sos.in.gov and file for a trademark. You will then get an employee ID #. That's all you need to open a bank account. If you are able to do it, I would suggest getting registered as a not-for-profit organization.

Sorry...I left out some info in the middle there. You goto www.irs.gov and fill out an SS-4 form to get your EIN. Then you can open the account.

Go non profit. Once you achieve you 501(c)3 status, there are a bunch of things that you can do to raise funds for your team that you would otherwise be hampered by if you were an LLC.
