The Jay County Panthers will be having a Recruitment/Team meeting on Sunday Jan. 11th @ 2pm at the Portland Moose. With our scouting agency contract we need to get everyones information in as soon as possible. Our first practice will be on Feb. 1st we will need to have all our practice jerseys gave out for the TV stations from fort wayne coming so we need everyone at sundays meeting.

our roster is already has 26 players that have signed with us we have a team meeting on Sunday to sign even more we are projecting to have about 35-40 players at least
Panther 4, is correct we have 26 already working out and look to be over 35 after sundays meeting at the moose lodge in portland at 2 pm. We have just so much to offer as exposure for our athletes in the GIFA. It's not just back yard football this is the real deal if your an athlete interested in truly being recruited to the pro level or a younger athlete looking to get a college scholarship this is the team and league to join. As far as teams around us some has already decided to join up with the Panthers and other teams are real close. it would'nt shock me to see up to 3 more area teams fold and join forces with us. Not many teams have over 20 players with previous semi pro or college experience and a full coaching staff with a head coach cordinators and positions coaches asking to be part of this. We have just chose to take it up another level and go national instead of just getting exposure in our back yards. Any players are welcomed to come check us out on sunday and learn more, when you see what we have to offer compared to other teams and leagues i wont have to do any convincing the opportunities will speak for there selves. I wish all the teams in the surrounding area the best of luck but this is a chance to truly have scouts looking at you weekly. Players ask your league for their contract with a national pro scouting agency where weekly reports and scouts will be at your practices and games then go to the GIFA site and see the agency we already have signed as a league. well aren't you just Donnie downer look us that play for the panthers aren't new to this this will be my 5th season at this level but with what our league has to offer and with the coaching staff and also a lot of us have played together before a few years ago.
What all does this league have to offer other then scouts... cuz hell how many people honestly move up from semi-pro to college or pro? I just don't see it happening but maybe one person per team maybe every other year.
This league offers more than just a schedule yes they have a scouting company that works with us to give us players a chance so can you name an other league that has that or how about the logo design company or the fat heads we can have made or maybe the best part an biases president and commissioner no more owners with teams they favor or president that also owns a team in the same league If you wanna know more check out the league website www.thegifa.com

our head coach is Zeb Sutton and is putting together his staff or board will be announced tomorrow at or team meeting but these guys have been putting in a lot of work to make this team a power house and also a team for the community

WOW, I typed Zeb into the search and in just on thread I saw he didnt show up for a playoff game against the Scorpions but was given a second chance and that he lied to Keith Maloy about a scrimmage game and never showed up. This guy sounds like a real winner and will just completely embarass the new league he is in.
I know Zeb pretty good from when I played for the cougars. Zeb and I had a friendship beyond the field as well. He also had a few problems in his life that effected the money from the team (not saying it was him), If Zeb has his life in order then his team will reflect that, they will be a a great team. but if he has the same problems as then, I would be careful. Also i know that Panther 4 is Justin Henry and alot of us know how he can reflect on a team. I hope your league does do everthing you say it, would be good for the players. neway good luck to your team.
Yes from what i have heard he had one meeting and 4 or 5 people showed up so he didnt pursue it any more. so he and a couple remaining riot players are playing with the panthers.
Gentlemen do your research before you join any league. If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. For instance if you look for combine info on the scouting site it will direct you to a page. for upcoming scouting information here is the link. http://www.mslcombines.com/index.php. Henry and Sutton together. This team will be something to see. Henry will most likely implode and Sutton will steal all their money and make a bunch of promises that he can not keep. Plus from what I hear Sutton is still in legal trouble from his Randolph County Days (The Cougar Den). This is truely a joke.
I also took a look at the scouting company the GIFA has posted and I am bit cautious myself. Their website is loaded with casino ads and lack some significant information. Most scouting companies have bios of players they are scouting, success stories of past players, decent graphics, and usually no ads (as they should be making a lot of money off their finds to begin with). I also have a friend who works with the company that runs the NFL combines here in Indy and it takes connections to be a successful recruiter. Someone starting just starting up (if this is the case) will not have the advantages of others.

I to have played for Zeb and although he can be a cool ass dude, he has made a lot of mistakes when running a team, I wish all the best for the guy and he really is one hell of a coach but when you got a million things going on it makes it harder to excel in a ceratin area, I believe as long as hes just coaching, not doing any work behind the scenes, he will excel as a coach Ive seen him do it.

When he was defensive cordinator at Winchester. Coach sutton and Hargrave sure made you and Saulman look like shit !! I was a starter and he pulled me at half because he wanted to call the dogs off and we still beat you 34-0 and the next year beat you also. So if he's an idiot. Makes me question your coaching ability. Dont say it was just Hargrave, because you guys beat us the year before coach Sutton came on staff. If Hargrave would have stayed coaching and Sutton was still there. We would still be at the top of the TEC.

Henry it means that you dont have very good past when it comes to being counted on. you did that to your self when you would always blew up in games or would talk shit on here, I think you have turned a corner but the past always haunts you. I know of at least 10 guys that would have played with us last year if you wasnt running it. but its the past and all i wish is the best for your team. good luck.

I gota go with Duece, Ive played for Hargrave, Sutton, and Maloy and I do have to say Maloy is Def. the best all around coach Ive played for, dont get me wrong Zeb and Hargrave are good coaches, but I dont think anyone can argue the fact the Hargrave played favorites and mostly played the name game, while it seemed Sutton doesnt have much of clue when it comes to running an Offense, tremendous D coach though.
ok john if there were ten guys that didnt play then that was their loss and if this is true john why didnt they play when you started out running the team too? and second of all yeah i may let my emotions get the better of me but i play with emotion at least i can say i never gave up or took plays off during the game like you johnny and if anyone wants proof of that i have game film from last year that show you john standing around on the field during plays.

Never gave up!! ha you took your self out of the at least 2-3 games trying to say you were coaching when you know damn well that everything was taken care of on both sides the ball, ya I did take plays, show the film, its kinda hard going both ways and being on most the special teams with out any subs, but at least when i took um off i was on the damn field. I know deuce had a few that was wanting to play along with him, but they didnt want to deal with you. look it was last year, this year is coming up and its going to be a fun year. like i said good luck.

You both might want to have this conversation another place than on here. You both are now running teams and your disagreements, how ever valid, are starting to seem childish. This can reflect on your team and players decision to join this year.
I dont think Justin is running the team. He usually includes his management position in his posts and has not been doing that with this team.
jc you are right im just playing ball now running a team and trying to play is way to much work and i only have a few years left so im going to just play for now.

I know everyone in this conversation and all I will say is Thank You for saving me a trip to Portland to check out the team!
