I am looking for my grandmother's early life, Virginia Beatrice McFarland (married name Stewart) who was probably born 1903. She had an older sister named Alice, and always said she was born in Minnesota, but ran off to California and my mother, Joan Ellen Stewart was born 1924 and grew up in boarding schools. My mother said she met Alice twice, once as an adult in which Alice spoke of a trip she took to Germany and witnessed some Nazi persecution of a Jewish shop owner, so Alice must have taken the trip during the 1930's. Alice also had other siblings, John and Ruth and Phillip, who died as a child. My grandmother went to a boarding school in Frontenac, Minn.as a teenager, but none of her siblings did. She then got some kind of degree in nursing at University of Minnesota, then went to California. She died in Los Angeles in 1981. My mother was told her father died when she was 4 years old.

My great aunt Betty Wanek in Doran MN gave me her cousin Kristine's name and told me there was a website. I did hunting and pecking and found it.

How do I add information for a living person(s), i.e. my mom, grandmother, aunt, etc. The living are just as important as the deceased. I was only able to print info on the deceased and did not see how you can see info on the living.

Gave me lots of information to send to my Aunt Betty and to show my mom. I would like to hear from Kristine, though, since we are directly related and she only lives 2 hours from me!!!

My great grand father Francis was born in Elkton, MD Dec. 22, 1843 he married Catherine Potter Jan. 11, 1877 in Strattanville,Millcreek township, Clarion Co.PA They had four children Bertha (Lytle),Walter, Annie, and Skuyler(my grandfather). Annie died in her teens and is buried in Millcreek area. Walter was born Oct. 21, 1879 in Blyson Run Clarion Co. PA he never married died Jan. 14, 1962 in Sonora, Tuolumne Co. CA and was buried in the Chinese Camp cemetery he was listed as a golod miner and steam shovel operater.
