I bought a home in Florida and I came across a picture that was From Vesper George School of Arts. On the back the instructor was a Miss Fletcher dated February 9, 1950 Project: Form Artist Stuart Zieell. Anyone know of this person?

Vesper George School of Art was the best.

I was so disapointed that it closed its doors.

Bill Brady was my mentor and my friend. He recognized my talent and was a great encouragement to me. I loved this school especially sidewak coffee breaks on St. Botolph Street ! I think of all my classmates and wish them all well. I miss Fran Tobin from Western Ma area I think...Lenox. Plus so many others. God BLESS you all!

Terry Santoro was my art teacher at Chaffey College in Alta Loma, California in 1976. In one quarter with Terry I learned so much. I know of three of Terry\'s students from that time who have been professional illustrators for the past 35 years. I still remember several of the class assignments and how I had to hitchhike to for the evening class and would always catch a ride home with someone. Terry brought a wealth of experience, skill and knowledge to his class room. It was wonderful to discover where he went to art school and where his Boston accent came from. I read he passed away a few years ago and it breaks my heart I never got a chance to share what an impact he had on my life. I was telling a fellow designer at work about Terry and how he helped me refine my airbrush skills. So tonight I searched and searched like I have so many times in the past but tonight I finally connected. Thank you!

Wanting to find alumni list or other info from when my father, Albert Blumberg, went to VP. Have his oil portraits, probably models, sketch pads and art supplies from the '30's & 40's. He died 2007 and we found all this wonderful stuff. Also photos of students on steps of the school St Botolph St. Just wanting source for more info. Thanks so much.

I live on Cape Cod and have such great memories of my years at VG! My studies took me to being an art director of a newspaper and medical book illustrator. Robert Douglas Hunter is a major player here at the Cape Museum of Fine Arts. Enjoying all the commentary on this site AND the photos! What a great school it was!

I just learned that Terry Santoro, (VG '64-'67), passed away. He lived in California and had a graphic arts business. He had a heart transplant three years ago, and his health continued to decline. He died of complications of leukemia and kidney failure. He was a great guy and will be missed by all who know him and his heart of gold.

I would love to connect to any one in and around that class. We can't all be dead!
Who knew when we were actually there the VG years would become one of the best times in our lives. No cares or responsibilities, just learned and laughed a LOT with great people.
I would particularly like to get in touch with Deborah Greene Jones, Terry turner McKay and Marilyn and Jon (who's last name escapes me at the moment.) It would make me happy to get in touch with any one in that class. I know that I look back and smile widely.

Who could forget our great teacher Mr. Brady. He symbolized so much of what was good about Vesper George School of Art.

After I graduated from Vesper George to make my way in the world of commercial art, I felt very well equipped with the skills I had learned. Little did I know what a profound impact computers would have twenty years later on us graphic artists!

I would love to hear from those in my class of 1967 who want to talk over the good old days at a wonderful art school in Boston, Massachusetts named Vesper George.
