THe beginning

Hey Butch, the show mix up for the Atlanta shows has really got alot of your fans in a bind. We can only afford to attend so many of the shows and I for one bought a ticket for Saturday thinking that it was the request show and one for the first night thinking that it was for the Letters show(MY FAVORITE ALBUM) and now I'm not attending either one of the right show nights? Anything I can do to get this horrible mix up fixed/resolved???I don't want to miss the Letters show? Uh....

I was just going through some old videos that were recorded with an old camcorder, stumbled upon an old tape of Floyd's Funk Revival from '95 I believe at the Dark Horse. Great old, classic Butch. :)

One day in '98, I turned on the radio and heard "Freak of the Week" and liked it. A lot. So I went out and bought the Hey! album and listened to the crap out of it. Years past before my second encounter; as I was bartending, close regulars of mine were chatting, boozing, and enjoying my playlist on the speakers when one of them recognized "Over your Head". Staring blankly at me, he asked " YOU know Butch Walker?" to which I responded, "Who?". He then said the Marvelous 3 (my eyes lit up then) and explained of his solo albums. Later that week he lent me Live at Budokan, and from then on I was hooked. Again. Now I've got his entire collection, minus Southgang, and have turned all of my friends to him as well.

I'm glad we showed up in Dallas to catch the House of Blues in May. I've been waiting for another concert close to home, and I missed the Tulsa show a couple years back, so that was my first show and it was great...except for a gorilla in the very front center of the crowd, blocking everyone's view. Still great, though.
