This is a very informative website, thank you for sharing information about badgers. They are such lovely creatures and the culling practice was doomed from the start. Nature, in this case microbiology, always finds a way (and as a microbiologist I know what I\'m talking about). Such a shame that many of the guests on your page are posting on the guestbook simply to advertise their wares, expecially such daft designer rubbish). Totally off topic and should not be allowed. |

im afraid that badgers here in England are facing a similar fate as yours, except they intend to shoot ours. I was hoping to find some official figures on your site, i am trying to find out if tb in cattle has in fact gone down since culling badgers begun? We are doing all we can here to get this cull stopped perminatly, and any help from you would be appreciated.I have signd your petition, good luck!! |

i have just read with intrest in the q and a section that scientists do not understand how badgers spread tb to cattle. This is untrue . it happens quiet easly . The infectes badgers develop tb within every organ of their body including the kidneys. they then proceed to mark their range simular to a male dog. this urine marking is full or tb bacteria and is then eaten by cattle when they eat the grass which has been infected and quickly develops into bovine tb . no rocket science there. And that is a scientific fact to whict there is no argument. |

Just discovered this website and think its a fantastic resource. Great to get so much information on the lovely badger! I get so disheartened when I see them dead on the side of the road and hope that by being part of this organisation I can help to change things. |

I love irish wildlife and sadly not many people know how much abuse has taken its toll on it. Im shocked at the way tourists are invited from abroad to come here and shoot it.I would love to join a wildlife protection group to give animals a voice. |

Hi there. I'm from Dublin and as I'm a student (I study zoology) and can't get out of Dublin all too often I don't get to experience nature and wildlife as much as I'd like. I'm a massive nature enthuasiast and I was just wondering if anyone knows a good site in Dublin or nearby that you could commute to and badgerwatch? Thank you. Hazel |

Very interesting site. I love badgers and fear for them the whole time. There is a horrifying but excellent short story by the writer Patrick O'Boyle, called 'Meles Vulgaris', a piece of fiction about a badger-baiting. You read it once and never forget it, but it's brilliant. |
